Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies
Looking for an amazing recipe to add to your Christmas cookie list? If you aren’t the biggest fan of the classic sugar cookie recipes that are cut into shapes and slathered with icing, you have to give this one a try! This old-fashioned sugar cookie recipe is crispy, buttery and absolutely delicious. You can make it just as festive with red and green colored sugar. I will give caution though because these cookies are addicting! It’s a good thing this recipe makes a ton of cookies because they will be gone before you know it.
I hope the directions on how to shape the cookies are easy to understand. You’ll want to make sure the sugar sticks to the bottom of the glass that you are going to use to smash down the balls of dough. You can do this with a little bit of water or oil. After the balls are smashed down, press them with a fork to create a design similar to classic peanut butter cookies. These cookies will not expand much while baking so you can place them closer together on the cookie sheet.
