Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup powdered see
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp nutmeg or cinnamon optional

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Thoroughly cream oil, butter & both sugars
  • Add vanilla and eggs
  • Stir in dry ingredients
  • Roll a teaspoon of dough into a ball
  • Smash balls of dough with the bottom of a flat glass dipped in sugar
  • Press dough with fork to make design
  • Bake about 10-12 min
